how to change a moen filter
Changing the Moen filter depends on the type of water filtration used by the faucet.
Moen uses two types of filters inside the faucet spout, and they also have a sink filter.
You should be familiar with the type of filter used by the faucet.
If there is a filter cartridge under the sink, you need a filter cartridge under the sink.
If there is no ink cartridge under the sink, you need one of the two faucet nozzle cartridges.
Moen recommends changing the filter every six months.
Turn off the water supply of the faucet under the sink.
The closing valve handle turns clockwise to stop the flow of water.
Turn the faucet mouth counter-clockwise and open it from the mouth.
Pull the faucet head with filter cartridge directly from the neck of the spout.
Grab the filter with one hand and grab the tap head with the other.
Pull the filter off the tap.
Line up the new filters into the tap head and press the two together until you hear them locked in place.
Insert the filter into the tap spout and the tap is up.
Turn the faucet head clockwise and lock the faucet head on the spout.
Pull the faucet nozzle large enough that you can grab the spray hose.
Hold the end of the spray hose with one hand, reverse the spray head counter-clockwise and disconnect the hose from the head.
Turn the nozzle so that the nozzle points above.
Lift the filter cover from the spray head and neck with your finger.
Pull out the old filter and install the new one.
Place the filter cover on the spray head and neck until it is stuck in the appropriate position.
Align the gap between the bottom of the spray head with the end of the spray hose.
